Celebrate Notting Hill Carnival at Over Under Ladbroke Grove.

Since February, our Ladbroke Grove store has been housing the artwork from local artist Emelia Jack. Her collection of black and white paintings, named Dancing On Paper, is a series of abstract art inspired by music. Each painting is directly inspired by a different song.
This August Emelia will be collaborating with Over Under Coffee and Open Art Spaces to celebrate the Carnival season by hosting an art event.
Emelia will be at our Ladbroke Grove store on August 21st from 12pm - 3pm showcasing her new art collection inspired by carnival music. From dancehall tracks, soca, and reggae to sound system music. Expect artwork inspired by classics that will capture the fun and party spirit of Carnival.
What’s happening
During the event, you can view the art, and explore it through the augmented reality app, Artivive. Order prints to take home, and enter a competition to win a limited edition Dancing On Paper art piece. Enjoy all this along with great music, coffee, brunch, and drinks.
Meet Emelia to learn more about her art. Emma, the coordinator from Open Art Spaces, will also be in attendance if you want to learn more about what the organisation is doing to bring art to the local area and connect artists with their community.

Comment the name of any carnival-related song or artist. It can be a famous dancehall, soca, reggae, dub, calypso, sound system track, or artist. Googling tracks is allowed!
Tag a friend next to the name of the song or artist. Each tag is worth 1 entry.
Come to the event on Sunday 21st August to add an entry if you haven’t already on Instagram.
The winner will be announced on the evening of Sunday 21st August.
